The Best Restaurants in 5A by Waterway

Numa

If you’re craving authentic Italian flavors in New Cairo’s 5A Waterway complex, Numa needs to be on your radar! This charming spot delivers an all-around fantastic dining experience.

Let me start by raving about the exceptional service – our server Mahmoud went above and beyond to make us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. You can tell he has extensive knowledge of the menu and really gets to know each guest’s tastes. His friendly demeanor and helpful recommendations elevated the whole visit.

As for the food itself, it was simply divine! We kicked things off with their delectable rocca and avocado salad before indulging in the most luscious salmon dish with an earthy porcini and lemon sauce. The mushroom pasta was also a flavor bomb. But the star might have been the incredibly juicy double beef burger – not something I’d typically order, but I’m so glad I did!

The presentation was on point too, with all the dishes beautifully plated on ceramic serveware. And I have to give props to the pristine cleanliness of the entire restaurant.

What Could Have Been Better

In terms of potential drawbacks, the only slight critique is that the prices lean toward the higher side, though certainly still reasonable for the quality you’re getting.

Don Eatery

If you’re craving delicious Asian fusion flavors in a chic, elegant setting, Don Eatery needs to be your go-to spot! This gem offers up some seriously tasty eats alongside a wonderfully inviting ambiance.

During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of trying their chicken katsu bao and the sweet & sour shrimp donburi. The bao was nice and flavorful, though small in size as expected for this type of dish. But the real showstopper was the donburi bowl – such perfectly balanced flavors that allowed me to savor each component. It was my first time trying this dish, and I’m already craving it again!

What really sets Don Eatery apart is the overall vibe. The decor strikes this ideal balance of simple yet chic, giving the space an upscale feel without being over-the-top. The lighting and little touches create such an enjoyable atmosphere for dining.

What Could Have Been Better

Now in terms of pricing, it’s worth acknowledging that you’ll pay a premium for the quality and ambiance here. The dishes are on the higher end of the spectrum, which some may view as a drawback. However, personally, I found the flavors and entire experience well worth the splurge.

Reif Kushiyaki

Japanese cuisine aficionados, listen up! Reif Kushiyaki is an absolute gem that needs to be on your radar if you find yourself in New Cairo’s 5A Waterway complex. This eatery delivers an exceptional dining adventure from the moment you step through its doors.

The staff’s warm hospitality and attentiveness immediately set the tone for a fantastic experience. But the real star is undoubtedly the cuisine itself. We indulged in quite a few dishes from their menu, and each one tantalized our taste buds with its vibrant freshness and innovative flavors. The beef tataki and chicken karaage were definite highlights, melting in our mouths with sheer deliciousness.

However, the true showstopper may have been the exquisite matcha cake we savored for dessert – easily one of the most heavenly sweet treats we’ve ever encountered!

What Could Have Been Better

If there was any room for improvement, it could perhaps be slightly reining in the portion sizes of some of the richer, more indulgent dishes. But truthfully, the incredible flavors more than compensate for any overindulgence.

Foufa’s

Nestled in the heart of 5A Waterway, Foufa’s is a delightful oasis that beckons foodies in search of a truly remarkable culinary experience. This charming eatery has quickly become a personal favorite, thanks to its delectable offerings and warm, inviting ambiance.

During my recent visit, I indulged in their “make your own” breakfast, and let me tell you, the quality of ingredients and flavors were simply outstanding. The coffee selection was equally impressive, catering to various preferences, including options for those with lactose intolerance. But the true showstopper was the carrot cake – a delightfully unexpected twist on the classic, served deliciously warm and paired perfectly with my coffee.

While the menu may not boast an extensive array of options, the carefully curated selection is a testament to Foufa’s commitment to quality over quantity. And let’s not forget about the impeccable service – our orders arrived promptly, piping hot, and presented with care.

What Could Have Been Better

If there’s one potential area for improvement, it could be the expansion of their menu to cater to a wider range of dietary preferences and cravings. However, this minor critique is easily overshadowed by the sheer delight that Foufa’s offers with every bite.

Carlo’s

If you’re seeking a delightful dining experience that tantalizes both your palate and your senses, Carlo’s is an absolute must-visit gem nestled within the 5A Waterway complex. This charming eatery has truly mastered the art of culinary delight, offering a menu that is as diverse as it is mouthwatering.

During my visits, I’ve had the pleasure of indulging in their exquisite mezza plates, which are perfect for sharing and sampling a variety of flavors. Each bite is a delightful explosion of taste, leaving you craving more. But the real showstopper, in my opinion, is their boneless pigeon Egyptian risotto – a dish that truly showcases the kitchen’s ability to seamlessly blend traditional flavors with modern flair.

Complementing the delectable fare is Carlo’s impressive selection of beverages, making it an ideal spot to linger over a leisurely meal and a refreshing drink. The ambiance is warm and inviting, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience.

What Could Have Been Better

Now, while the prices may be a tad on the higher side, I can assure you that the quality and flavors more than justify the indulgence. However, one aspect that could potentially use improvement is the seating arrangements, especially during peak hours. The staff may not always be as accommodating as one would hope when it comes to specific seating requests, which could detract from the overall experience.
